Amanda Poorman, MSN, CNM

Amanda Poorman MSN, APRN-CNM is a certified nurse midwife, currently practicing full scope midwifery at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  Amanda promotes evidence based education and shared, informed decision making with her patients.

Amanda completed her MSN at the University of Cincinnati and trained at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio and Summa Health in Akron, Ohio.  Prior to becoming a certified nurse midwife, Amanda spent two years at Union Hospital in Dover as a perinatal educator.  Amanda also served for over 15 years as a labor and deliver, post-partum and newborn nursery nurse in Coshocton County.  Amanda is a native of Coshocton County.  She reside in Coshocton with her husband where she enjoys keeping up with her two daughters – currently busy in college, and her 17 year old son.
