Coshocton County currently has a sales tax rate of 2.0% and the State of Ohio has a rate of 5.75%, making the total sales tax collected in Coshocton County 7.75%.  The tax is collected and distributed by the Ohio Department of Taxation, sending Coshocton’s portion back to the county.  The sales tax revenue is received by the County three months after the collection of the tax and is paid into the County’s General Fund (1.5%) and the Criminal Justice Center Debt Fund (0.5%)

Voters passed the additional 0.5% sales tax for the Justice Center in November, 2021.  This collection began on April 1, 2022, and is included in the total 7.75%.
