Certain properties could be exempt from real estate taxation if qualified under one of the Ohio Revised Code Sections and the proper application process is completed. The forms, once signed by the Treasurer and Auditor, are forwarded to the Ohio Department of Taxation and the Ohio Tax Commissioner either grants, denies, or partially grants the request.
Forms need to be submitted to the County Auditor’s Office in duplicate, with all required attachments. Visit Forms & Link/Real Estate/MISC for the forms.
New in 2022, all owners of properties currently exempt from real estate taxes are now required to notify the County Auditor’s Office if there is a change in status. Visit Forms & Link/Real Estate/MISC for the forms.
