On October 22, 2025 at approximately 10:16pm, Detectives from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of SR 16 and TR 347 due to marked lane violations. K-9 units conducted an open-air sniff that resulted in a positive alert on the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, approximately 1.12 lbs. of suspected Methamphetamine was located in the vehicle. The occupants in said vehicle were taken into custody without incident. ![]()

On 10/20/2025 at approximately 4:57 PM the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury-accident at the intersection of SR 83 and Otsego Avenue.
Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that Amanda Blankenship (41), of Coshocton, was south bound on SR 83 when she made a left hand turn onto Otsego Avenue. John Messer (30), of Cambridge, was approaching the stop sign on Otsego Avenue at SR 83. The vehicles made contact with each other, causing property damage and injury. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Mrs. Blankenship reported non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Genesis of Coshocton. She had two juvenile passengers that were not injured.
Mr. Messer did not report any injuries.
Assisting at the scene were Coshocton County EMS, Three Rivers Fire District, Ohio State Patrol and REACT.

On October 20th, 2025, at 07:03 hrs. the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident on State Route 93 in the 28000 Block in White Eyes Township. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that a Juvenile of West Lafayette, was traveling north on State Route 93 when she swerved to miss a deer going off the left side of the roadway striking two vehicle's traveling South on State Route 93. The other vehicles were driven by Maria Hall of Sugarcreek and Marcus Beachy of Sugarcreek. The Juvenile and Beachy were treated and released on scene by Coshocton County EMS. Hall was transported to Coshocton County Reginal Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The Juvenile was cited for Failure to Control. ![]()
