News ReleaseOn September 11, 2024 at approximately 2:35 PM, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting an injury accident at the intersection of SR 621 and US 36, in Keene Township.Upon arrival of Deputies it was determined that a juvenile was stopped at the stop sign on SR 621 at the intersection of US 36. Clayton Barthalow (18), of Newcomerstown, was stopped behind the juvenile. Wyatt Lockard (18), of West Lafayette, was traveling northeast on SR 621, approaching the stopped vehicles. Mr. Lockard failed to stop behind the vehicles and rear-ended Mr. Barthalow, which pushed Mr. Barthalow’s vehicle into the juvenile’s vehicle.All persons involved denied having any injuries.Assisting the Sheriff’s Office on scene was Prince’s Wrecker.Coshocton County SheriffJames A. News ReleaseOn September 10th, 2024 at approximately 09:38PM, The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident in the 33000 Block of Township Road 373 in Perry Township.Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that 55-year-old Brian Hudnall of Coshocton, was traveling west on Township Road 373 when he lost control of his vehicle while attempting to miss a deer in the roadway. The vehicle went off the left side of the roadway when he struck a tree on the embankment causing the vehicle to overturn on its top. News ReleaseOn September 8th, 2024 at approximately 06:57 PM the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an accident with possible injuries in the 100 block of Chestnut Street in Coshocton.Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined a 77 year old male Harry Hines of Fresno was backing out of a parking space at McDonald’s when he failed to yield the right of way and struck a vehicle being operated by a 36 year old male Adam Copley out of Wooster and his passenger a 45 year old male Michael Decker of Fredericksburg. Mr. Copley had been traveling East on Chestnut Street prior to pulling into the parking lot of McDonald’s. Once Mr. Copley pulled into the parking lot Mr. Copley’s vehicle was struck by the vehicle being operated by Mr. Hines. After striking Mr. Copley’s vehicle Mr. Hines vehicle continued in reverse ran over the curb struck the entrance sing of McDonald’s and then struck a flag pole before coming to a stop in the grass in front of McDonald’s. Mr. Hines, Mr. Copley and Mr. Decker were all treated and released on scene by Coshocton County EMS. This incident remains under investigation. News Release On September 7, 2024 at approximately 3:13 PM, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting an injury accident at the intersection of S. 2nd St. and Main St., in the city of Coshocton.Upon arrival of Deputies it was determined that Julian Strofe (39), of Coshocton, was traveling North bound on S.2nd St. behind Courtney Walter (34), of Coshocton. Mrs. Walter stopped in traffic at the Main St. intersection. Mr. Strofe rear-ended Mrs. Walter.Mrs. Walter reported minor injuries and was checked by EMS on scene. She denied transport for further evaluation. Mr. Strofe denied having any injuries.
