Your Sheriff’s Office participated in Field Discovery Day at the Wills Creek Dam today. Sponsored by the US Army Corps of Engineers and Farm Bureau Federation. The kids had a lot of great questions and were excited to see duty gear and equipment used by the Sheriff’s Office. They also watched a K9 demonstration on suspect apprehension. County Road 10 Road Closure Announced(Coshocton) - Coshocton County Engineer’s Office announced today that County Road 10 in Crawford Township will be closed Thursday, May 14th.County Road 10 will be closed between State Route 651 and Township Road 235, from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm for utility work.The road will re-open to traffic each day at 4:00 pm. Coshocton County Engineer’s Office announced today that County Road 6 in Virginia Township will be closed beginning Tuesday, May 5th through Wednesday, May 6th. County Road 6 will be closed between County Road 286 and County Road 297, from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm for Culvert replacement.
The road will re-open to traffic each day at 4:00 pm. Weather Permitting.

On April 30th, 2026, at approximately 3:26 PM, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an accident with injuries in the intersection of USR 36 and Airport Road in Tuscarawas Township.
Upon arrival of Deputies, it was determined that 61-year-old Jennifer Lahna of Coshocton was driving westbound on USR 36 and ran the red light at Airport Road. Ms. Lahna struck a vehicle being driven by 41-year-old Jamillah Bringham of Coshocton, as she was on the north-bound side of Airport Road and turning right to go westbound on USR 36. Ms. Lahna’s vehicle then went left of center crossing the eastbound lane and went down the embankment before coming to rest.
Ms. Bringham was transported to Genesis of Coshocton with unknown injuries at this time. Ms. Bringham’s passengers consisting of 4 juvenile’s were treated for complaint type injuries and taken to Genesis of Coshocton. Ms. Lahna and her passenger, 85-year-old Alicey Lahna of Coshocton were transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. Ms. Jennifer Lahna was cited for traffic control devices.
Assisting on scene was the Coshocton City Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS, Three Rivers Fire District, Prince’s Wrecker and REACT.
