On December 8th, 2023 at approximately 04:34 AM the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an accident with possible injuries in the 54000 block of SR 541 in Linton Twp. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that a 2004 Toyota, operated by a Reilly Armstrong 23 year old male of Plainfield, was traveling West on SR 541 when the driver struck a deer. Mr. Armstrong then lost control of the vehicle running off the left side of the roadway striking a fence. Mr. Armstrong was treated and released on scene by Coshocton County EMS.Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, West Lafayette Fire Department, and Princes Wrecker Service. On December 7th, 2023, at approximately 9:47 PM the Sheriff’s Office received a phone call in reference to a possible injury accident in the 2200 block of S 6th street in Coshocton. Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that 39-year-old Julianna Watson of Coshocton had struck a pole in the parking lot of the business. On December 7th, 2023, at approximately 4:31 PM the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a possible injury accident in the 32000 block of TR 22 in Monroe Township. Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that 23-year-old Michael Lewis of Killbuck was traveling Northbound on TR 22 when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the right side of the roadway. Mr. Lewis’ vehicle then struck an embankment, overturned and landed its top. Mr. Lewis was extricated from the vehicle by fire personnel on scene. ******UPDATE*****On December 6th 2023 at approximately 11:35 P.M. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division and Sheriff’s Office K-9 Division conducted a traffic stop in the 22000 block of SR 751 in Lafayette Township. The Sheriff’s Office K-9 alerted to the vehicle and a search was conducted. As a result of the vehicle search, a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, drug trafficking materials and a firearm was located. 1 male and 1 female were taken into custody. The names of the individuals will be withheld until formal charges and review from the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office. ******UPDATE******On December 6, 2023, 12:33 hrs. the sheriff's office received a call that a male with a warrant was at the address of 315 South 4th Street in the city of Coshocton. While deputies were enroute to the location , dispatch advised that the caller was arguing with the male. Upon arrival of deputies, dispatch advised that the male in question was now keeping the female inside the apartment and not letting her to the door to unlock it. It was advised that the male had several weapons in the apartment and was threating the female along with the deputies. Deputies made entry into the residence where they located the male holding the female hostage in the corner of the apartment. The female was able to free herself , where deputies then deployed the K-9 and taser to subdue the suspect. The suspect was then taken into custody without further incident. The female denied EMS. The male suspect was treated and released on scene by EMS and transported for Coshocton County Justice Center for his warrant.The suspects name is being withheld until filing of formal charges for this incidentAssisting at the scene was the Coshocton County EMS, Coshocton County Prosecutors Office, and Coshocton County Sheriff's Office Detective's Division. ******Updated News Release******On December 7, 2023 at 10:25am, 44 year Brent D.
