Several Coshocton residents have received a letter from the IRS yesterday and today. We want residents to know that this is a scam and to throw it away in the trash. Do not respond to it and do not send any money for fees that they are asking for.

On May 22nd, 2025, at approximately 4:22 P.M, Coshocton County Deputies were looking for a 50-year-old male on a well-being check. After a short time, Deputies located the male subject near the Triple Locks in REACT Park on North Whitewoman Street. After the male subject was located, it was determined that he had a weapon. The Coshocton County Special Response Team was called in and after a several hour stand-off with deputies a self-inflicted gunshot occurred. The male subject was transported by Coshocton County EMS to Genesis Hospital in Coshocton. He was later transferred from Coshocton by Med Flight to Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff's Office.![]()

Township Road 252 Road Closure Announced (Coshocton) -![]()
Coshocton County Engineer Frederick T. Wachtel announced today that Township Road 252 in Adams Township, will be closed beginning Tuesday, May 27th starting at 7:00 am through Monday, August 25th at 4:00 pm, for Bridge Replacement. Township Road 252 will be closed at the end nearest to SR 751, while crews replace the bridge.![]()
Township Road 252 will re-open to traffic at 4:00 pm Monday, August 25th, 2025.![]()
