On July 31st, 2025 at approximately 11:26 AM the Sheriff's Office received a call in reference to an accident with injury in 18000 block of County Road 4, Virginia Township. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that Michael Campbell, 78 years old, of Dresden was traveling North on County Road 4 when he lost control of his vehicle going off the right side of the roadway striking the guardrail on a small bridge. Campbell's vehicle continued across the bridge coming to a rest. Campbell was transported by emergency squad to Genesis of Coshocton. Campbell was cited for failure to control.
Assisting the Sheriff's Office on scene was the Coshocton County EMS, Conesville Fire Department, Prince's Wrecker Service, and the Coshocton County Engineer's Office.

On July 28th, 2025, at approximately 6:19 PM, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident in the 49000 block of Township Road 146 in Franklin Township.
Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that 25-year-old Aron Jacobs of Coshocton was traveling Eastbound on Township Road 146 when he lost control of his motorcycle after striking road debris. Mr. Jacobs went off the right side of the roadway and was then ejected off the motorcycle. Mr. Jacobs was transported by CCEMS to Genesis of Coshocton with non-life threatening injuries.
Assisting on scene was Coshocton County EMS and the Conesville Fire Department.

On July 24, 2025 detectives with the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Victoria Bassitt of Coshocton. While traveling westbound on SR 16 for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, K9 Rip was deployed to conduct an open air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle. Rip gave a final response alerting to the odor of illegal narcotics. ![]()
During a search of the vehicle, detectives located a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and other drug related items. ![]()
On July 25, 2025 Victoria Bassitt was formally charged with possession of a controlled substance, a felony of the 2nd degree. ![]()

On 07/25/2025 at approximately 6:17 PM the Sheriff’s Office SRT team served a nationwide warrant in the 45000 block of Township Road 50.
Upon arrival of the SRT team, the suspect held himself at gunpoint and expressed suicidal thoughts. The SRT team disarmed and apprehended the suspect without injury.
