On August 8th 2016 at approximately 9:34 PM Dispatch received a 911 call in reference to a male subject lying in the roadway at 23601 SR 93 Lot 116. Upon arrival of Emergency personnel it was discovered that 60 year old Ronald May was injured from unknown causes. Mr. May, of Coshocton, was transported to Coshocton Memorial Hospital and was flown to Grant Medical Center. Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, West Lafayette Fire Department and Life Flight. This incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Coshocton County Engineer’s Office announced today that County Road 28 in Bethlehem Township will be closed Thursday, February 19th. County Road 28 will be closed between State Route 36 and County Road 24, from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm for tree trimming.

NEWS RELEASE
On February 14, 2026, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina regarding a double homicide that occurred in their jurisdiction. Moore County authorities requested assistance in locating and apprehending the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Caleb Fosnaugh of Coshocton, Ohio.
Moore County Sheriff’s Office advised that Fosnaugh was believed to be driving a white 2018 Ford Mustang and possibly traveling back to Ohio.
Detectives and Road Patrol Units from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Special Response Team (SRT), Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Ohio State Highway Patrol Aviation, coordinated efforts with Moore County authorities in locating the suspect.
At approximately 2:18 p.m., Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers located the suspect vehicle traveling toward Coshocton County. At 2:31 p.m., troopers, along with deputies from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of State Route 541 and County Road 120 in Linton Township, Coshocton County, Ohio.
Caleb Fosnaugh was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Coshocton County Justice Center.
The investigation into the double homicide remains ongoing and is being handled by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ohio State Highway Patrol Aviation, and Princes Wrecker Service.
