County Road 123 Road Closure Announced(Coshocton) - Coshocton County Engineer’s Office announced today that County Road 123 in Linton Township will be closed, Monday, August 25th through Thursday August 28th, between Township Road 149 and Township Road 137, from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm for tree trimming.The road will re-open to traffic each day at 4:00 pm. On August 20th, 2025, at approximately 10:48 AM, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an accident with injuries in the Altercare parking lot at 1991 Otsego Ave., in Tuscarawas Township.
Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that 77-year-old Tomma Bordenkircher, of Coshocton was attempting to exit her vehicle, when the vehicle began to move forward due to not being placed into park. Ms. Bordenkircher’s left leg was outside the vehicle when the vehicle struck a sign, causing the door to close on her leg. Ms. Bordenkircher was transported by Coshocton County EMS to Genesis of Coshocton with non-life threatening injuries.
Assisting on scene was the Coshocton City Fire Department and Coshocton County EMS.

On August 19th, 2025, at approximately 4:00 PM, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a possible injury accident in the 21000 block of TR 283 in Jackson township.
Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that 42-year-old Kyle Kiser, of Coshocton, was traveling southbound on TR 283 on his motorcycle when he struck a deer that ran into the roadway. Mr. Kiser was ejected off of the motorcycle. Mr. Kiser was transported to Genesis of Zanesville with unknown injuries.
Assisting on scene was the Jackson Township Fire Department and CCEMS.

On August 18th, 2025, at approximately 10:30 AM, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an accident with injuries in Wal-Mart parking lot 23605 Airport Road in Tuscarawas Township.
Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that 50-year-old Matthew Messenger, of Coshocton, was traveling West in the parking lot when he attempted to make a left hand turn into aisle seven. While making the left hand turn into aisle seven, Mr. Messenger struck a light pole. Mr. Messenger was transported by Coshocton County EMS to Genesis of Coshocton with non-life threatening injuries.
Assisting on scene was the Coshocton City Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS and Princes Wrecker Service.

On 08/18/2025 at approximately 2:50 PM the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident on OH-541, near Hill Street, in Jackson Township.
Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that Justin Wyatt (40) of Zanesville, was traveling east on OH-541 when he experienced a mechanical failure, ran off the right edge of the roadway, and struck a utility pole.
Mr. Wyatt was transported to Genesis Coshocton by Coshocton County EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, Jackson Township Fire District, Prince’s Wrecker Service, and REACT.
