On August 8th 2016 at approximately 9:34 PM Dispatch received a 911 call in reference to a male subject lying in the roadway at 23601 SR 93 Lot 116. Upon arrival of Emergency personnel it was discovered that 60 year old Ronald May was injured from unknown causes. Mr. May, of Coshocton, was transported to Coshocton Memorial Hospital and was flown to Grant Medical Center. Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, West Lafayette Fire Department and Life Flight. This incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

On July 12, 2025, at 17:16 hrs. the sheriff’s office received a 911 call of an injury accident at the intersection of County Road 16 and Morgan Run Road.
Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that Sal Skelton, of West Lafayette, was east bound on County Road 16 when he lost control of his vehicle in a curve on wet pavement. Sal then went left of center and off the left side of the road coming to rest in the ditch on the driver side of the car. Sal was extricated by non-mechanical means and was transported to CRMC for complaint type injuries.
Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, Three Rivers Fire Dept., West Lafayette Fire Dept., Princes Wrecker Service, and REACT.

On July 12, 2025, at 16:04 hrs, the sheriff’s office received several 911 calls of a accident with injury at the intersection of US 36 and Airport Road.
Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that Brehanna Plant of West Lafayette was entering the intersection of US 36 and Airport road when she was struck by a vehicle traveling east bound that was being operated by a juvenile also from West Lafayette. The juvenile also had a passenger in the car with them. Mrs. Plant was transported to Genesis of Coshocton for complaint type injuries. The juvenile and passenger of the other vehicle were treated and released to parents on scene.
This incident remains under investigation.

County Road 10 Road Closure Announced (Coshocton) – Coshocton County Engineer’s Office announced today that County Road 10 in White Eyes Township will be closed starting Monday, July 14th, 2025 at 7:00 am and ending Friday, August 1st at 4:00 pm, for culvert replacement. The road will be closed from County Road 425 to Township Road 181, while crews replace the culvert. County Road 10 will re-open at 4:00 pm Friday, August 1st, Weather Permitting. On 07/09/2025 at approximately 9:30 PM the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident on US 36, near TR 111, in Newcastle Township. Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that Roston Miller (22) of Port Washington, OH was traveling west on US 36, followed by Melinda Angle (40) of Coshocton, OH. Roston Miller hit his breaks due to deer entering the roadway, and Melinda Angle rear-ended his vehicle. Roston Miller had one passenger, Abigail Beland (20) of Lennon, MI. Roston Miller and Abigail Beland were transported to Genesis Coshocton by Coshocton County EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. Melinda Angle was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center by Coshocton County EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
