Coshocton County Engineer
ADDRESSING PROCEDURE
Effective October 1, 2014

To obtain a new street address in the unincorporated areas of Coshocton County, you must apply to the County Engineer’s Office, 23194 CR 621, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.

The  Address Application Form is available to download here.

The application may also be submitted online.

The Address Application Form must be completed with all of the required information.  The application can be mailed, dropped off, or emailed to mattshannon@coshoctoncounty.net.  There is no charge for an address.

A representative of the County Engineer’s Staff will visit the site to verify the proposed drive location, or the suitability of an existing drive for the intended purpose for any application served by a county or township road.  Properties located on state and U. S. routes will be forwarded to ODOT for their review.  Upon satisfying the appropriate access management permitting requirements for the drive and the new mailbox, the address will be assigned.  The applicant will be notified in writing of the new address.

Please note the process may involve a meeting on-site with the applicant to finalize the drive and mailbox location prior to the address being assigned.  Therefore, accurate phone contact information is necessary to insure timely processing of the application.

No address will be assigned until access has been approved by the appropriate authority.
