{"id":2001,"date":"2025-07-01T08:42:18","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T12:42:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.coshoctoncounty.net\/swcd\/?p=2001"},"modified":"2025-07-01T08:47:49","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T12:47:49","slug":"big-tree-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.coshoctoncounty.net\/swcd\/2025\/07\/01\/big-tree-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"Big Tree Contest"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Coshocton SWCD is sponsoring its annual \u201cBig Tree Contest.\u201d&nbsp; This contest is open to all species of trees growing on privately owned property in Coshocton County.&nbsp; Property line trees and trees growing on federal, state, or local government land are not eligible.&nbsp; Any person can enter a tree physically located in Coshocton County whether or not the tree is growing on the nominator\u2019s property. The Big Tree Contest is a county-wide contest, while the \u201cCoshocton Is Blooming\u201d category is limited to trees growing within the City of Coshocton.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All entries must be received by 4:30 p.m. on August 29, 2025.&nbsp; Entries will be measured by a representative from the Coshocton SWCD using the national standardized measurement criteria.&nbsp; The owners of the two \u201cBig Trees\u201d will each receive a plaque at Coshocton SWCD\u2019s Annual Meeting &amp; Banquet to be held October 16 at the Lake Park Pavilion.
