The Muskingum River Woodland Interest Group (MRWIG) is hosting a Forestry Field Day on Saturday, September 29th, at Wolf Run Farm in  Bedford Township of Coshocton County. This year’s event will provide woodland owners with numerous opportunities to learn ways to enhance the management of their woods and fields.

Wolf Run Farm has worked extensively with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to enhance the wildlife habitat on their farm. They have constructed a wetland, planted native grassland/pollinator habitat, and planted 20 acres of native hardwoods for reforestation. Wildlife Biologists will lead sessions on habitat management giving attendees the chance to learn how they can enhance wildlife viewing and hunting opportunities on their own farms.

Registration costs $10.00 and can be paid at the event. Registration includes a raffle ticket for one of the many door prizes and a one year membership to MRWIG. The Real McCoy BBQ will have food available for purchase during the lunch hour.  The event flyer, itinerary, and registration form are available below.
