Closed for lunch from 11:30am to 12:30pm and HOLIDAYS.<\/p>\n<p>Applications may be picked up at the Administration Office Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm or they may be obtained through the Ohio Attorney General\u2019s website,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov\">www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Download New\/Renewal application here:<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov\/Files\/Forms\/Forms-for-Law-Enforcement\/Concealed-Carry-License-and-Renewal-Application.aspx\">CCW Renewal<\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>NOTE: ALLOW 45 DAYS FOR PROCESSING OF ALL APPLICATIONS<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This information is being provided to prospective instructors or entities wanting to provide training to members of the public who wish to carry a concealed handgun.<\/p>\n<p>This information is referenced in O.R.C.2923.125.<\/p>\n<p>It is strongly suggested instructors cover the responsibilities of persons carrying a concealed handgun. (O.R.C. 2923.126 Duties of Licensed Individual) A violation of any part this section may result in criminal charges.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Concealed<\/strong>&nbsp;Carry Topics<\/h3>\n<h4><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>In order for an Ohio resident to obtain a concealed carry license they must meet the following requirements, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 2923.125(A):<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>At least 21 years of age<\/li>\n<li>New applicants must have received a Certificate of Competency as specified in ORC Section 2923.125(B)(3)(a), (b),(c),(e), or (f), within 3 years prior to the date of application, covering the training requirements as specified in ORC Section 2923.125(G)(1) and (G)(2).<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>-OR-<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Documentation that proves the applicant:<\/em><br \/>\nA. Is an active or reserve member of the US military<br \/>\nB. Retired law enforcement officer<br \/>\nC. Has been honorably discharged from US military or retired from a law enforcement agency<br \/>\nD. And through the participation in above employment the applicant acquired experience in handling handguns and that experience is equivalent to Training Requirements of 2923.125(B)(3) (a), (b), or (c).<\/li>\n<li>Applicant is not disqualified pursuant to criminal background check or mental incompetency check, as specified in ORC 2923.125(D)(1)(d), (e), (f), (g), (h), (i), or (j), or retired as a result of a mental disability.<\/li>\n<li>New applications must have a 2\u2033 X 2\u2033 color Passport style photo taken within 30 days of the application. This is not required for renewals.<\/li>\n<li>Attest that applicant has read pamphlet provided by the Attorney General\u2019s Office as specified, and also attest the handgun shall be carried for a lawful purpose.<\/li>\n<li>Non-refundable fee<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><strong>COMPETENCY CERTIFICATION<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Must produce an original or photocopy of a certificate of completion of a firearms training program, dated within 3 years prior to application, signed by the instructor, certifies that the training complies with the requirements set forth in division 2923.125(G), and the course was open to members of the general public and utilized qualified instructors who were certified by a national gun advocacy organization, the executive director of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission or a government official or entity of another state.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>CONCEALED CARRY FEES<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This is the fee schedule for a standard concealed carry license.<\/p>\n<p>For an applicant who has resided in Ohio for five(5) years or more:&nbsp;<strong>$67.00&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For an applicant who has resided in Ohio for less than five(5) years:&nbsp;<strong>$67.00 + $10.00<\/strong>&nbsp;(FBI) fingerprint charge Total&nbsp;<strong>$77.00<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A renewal of the standard license:&nbsp;<strong>$50.00<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A renewal of license living in Ohio less than five (5) years:&nbsp;<strong>$60.00<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A replacement license:&nbsp;<strong>$15.00<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For CCW, we accept cash or check. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veterans: Please bring us your DD-214 that states Honorable Discharge or Active Military ID to waive your fee and honor you for your service.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>PRIOR EQUIVALENT TRAINING<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h5><strong>Military \/ Active<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Documentation of the following:<\/p>\n<p>The applicant is an active or reserve member of the armed forces of the United States (i.e. current Military ID)<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Military \/ Retired<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Documentation of the following:<\/p>\n<p>That the applicant is retired from, or was honorably discharged from, military service of the United States, immediately preceding the application (i.e. DD214)<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Law Enforcement \/ Active<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Documentation evidencing both of the following:<\/p>\n<p>That the applicant has successfully completed the Ohio Peace Officer Training Program OR peace officer training program of another state (i.e. Training certificate or appointment as a law enforcement officer) AND<\/p>\n<p>A document that evidences that applicant is an active member of a law enforcement agency<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Law Enforcement \/ Retired<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Documentation evidencing both of the following:<\/p>\n<p>That the applicant is a retired Trooper of the State Highway Patrol, a retired peace officer or retired Federal law enforcement officer who retired in Good Standing. (i.e. retired ID or letter on letterhead from the Chief\/Sheriff\/Commander of the department from which retired) AND<\/p>\n<p>A document that evidences that the applicant has successfully completed the Ohio Peace Officer Training program OR peace officer training program of another state. (i.e. Training certificate or appointment as a law enforcement officer)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>CONCEALED CARRY DISQUALIFIERS<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h5><strong>Applicant will be disqualified if any of the following applies:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li>If applicant has been CHARGED or under UNDER INDICTMENT for:<br \/>\nA. Any felony<br \/>\nB. Any drug offense (except minor misdemeanor offenses)<br \/>\nC. Misdemeanor offense of violence<br \/>\nD. Negligent assault<br \/>\nE. Falsification to obtain cc license<br \/>\nF. Possess a revoked or suspended cc license<br \/>\nG. Domestic Violence<\/li>\n<li>If applicant has been CONVICTED or has been adjudicated a delinquent child under the following offenses:<br \/>\nA. Any felony<br \/>\nB. Drug offense (except minor misdemeanor offenses)<br \/>\nC. Assault on peace officer<br \/>\nD. Domestic Violence<\/li>\n<li>If applicant has been CONVICTED or has been adjudicated a delinquent child under the following offense within 3 years:<br \/>\nA. Misdemeanor offense of violence (except resisting arrest, assault on peace officer, domestic violence)<br \/>\nB. Falsification to obtain CCW license<br \/>\nC. Possessa revoked or suspended CCW license<\/li>\n<li>If applicant has been convicted or has been adjudicated a delinquent child under the following offenses within 5 years:<br \/>\nA. 2 or more assaults<br \/>\nB. 2 or more negligent assaults<\/li>\n<li>If applicant has been CONVICTED or has been adjudicated a delinquent child under the following offense within 10 years:<br \/>\nA. Resisting arrest<\/li>\n<li>If applicant is or has been:<br \/>\nA. Committed to any mental institution<br \/>\nB. Adjudicated as mentally incompetent<br \/>\nC. Been found by a court to be a mentally ill person, subject to hospitalization by court order<br \/>\nD.
