We are one of the last remaining open admission shelters, to operate in the state of Ohio. We provide compassionate care & assistance programs to hundreds of animals, and community members, each year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are not county employees. The Coshocton County Animal Shelter and Humane Animal Treatment Association, is a private, 501c3 non-profit organization. We have contracted to operate the dog shelter for the county, for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are located on Morgan Run road at 21755 Tr 164, Coshocton. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We serve our county openly and consistently, admitting over 1,000+ stray and owner surrender animals, each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are a small, rural, full service animal shelter. We receive just $23,000.00 a year to operate this animal shelter for the county, we rely on donations for approximately 80% of our budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are not affiliated with or connected to any other rescue or organization in our county. We are not the \u201cCoshocton County Humane Society\u201d.<\/strong> <\/mark>They are separate from this shelter and organization. The dog warden is also a completely separate office, they deliver all strays and surrenders to our facility if they are the transporting entity.
