Newly completed multi-use path on
South 6th Street
to benefit pedestrians and bicyclist…

The first phase of the South Coshocton Multi-use Pathway Program has been completed. The collaborative efforts of The Coshocton County Mobility Manager, The Coshocton County Board of Commissioners, Tuscarawas Township and the City of Coshocton have made pedestrian/bicyclist travel safer for our residents.

I had the opportunity to speak to the bicyclists in the picture. He frequently bikes in the area and having a couple near misses with vehicles, stated he was grateful to have a lane designated for pedestrian/bicycle traffic. He agreed that multi-use paths were needed in other areas of our county to insure a safer means of travel for those using alternative modes of transportation.

Future plans for additional multi-use paths consist of Browns Lane, South 2nd Street and areas between the City of Coshocton and Wal-Mart. If you would like to be a part of something big please contact me at (740)623-2564

Coshocton County Coordinated Transportation Agency
has been awarded a grant to initiate a Rural Transit System in Coshocton County. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to improve transportation options in our county.  Whether you use public transportation or not, your input is vital in helping us develop a transit system to meet the needs of Coshocton County residents and to fill  gaps in mobility. SIDEWALKS!!!

Pedestrian traffic just became a little safer.  Check out the newly completed sidewalk from the bridge at CR 1A along 2nd Street to Walgreens.  This effort is part of the City’s Riverside Multi-Use Path.  What an improvement! Watch for more new sidewalks to come…
