{"id":156,"date":"2016-07-01T08:24:02","date_gmt":"2016-07-01T12:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/172.16.1.215\/health\/?page_id=156"},"modified":"2024-05-06T15:52:28","modified_gmt":"2024-05-06T19:52:28","slug":"emergency-preparedness","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.coshoctoncounty.net\/health\/emergency-preparedness\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Health Emergency Preparedness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Coshocton Public Health District (CPHD) has an Preparedness Team operating under a grant from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) called Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP).&nbsp; Funding goes towards the following initiatives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Community Preparedness<\/li>\n<li>Community Recovery<\/li>\n<li>Emergency Operations Coordination&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Emergency Public Information and Warning<\/li>\n<li>Fatality Management&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Information Sharing<\/li>\n<li>Mass Care<\/li>\n<li>Medical countermeasure Dispensing<\/li>\n<li>Medical Materiel Management<\/li>\n<li>Medical Surge<\/li>\n<li>Non-pharmaceutical Interventions<\/li>\n<li>Public Health Surveillance<\/li>\n<li>Responder Safety and Health&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Volunteer Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A public health emergency is any event or situation demanding immediate action on the part of the public health system in order to prevent disease and injury or maintain public health within the community of service. Emergencies can be natural or man-made.<\/p>\n<p>Coshocton Public Health District Partners with Coshocton County Emergency Management Agency, the Healthcare Coalition and other members of our community. We work to ensure all residents and visitors in Coshocton County are prepared for public health emergencies and\/or natural disasters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800080; background-color: #ffffff;\"><strong>How can you be more prepared?<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/h1>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff; background-color: #ffffff;\"><strong>GET A KIT.
