{"id":43,"date":"2016-06-29T14:19:14","date_gmt":"2016-06-29T18:19:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/172.16.1.215\/family\/?page_id=43"},"modified":"2025-01-22T11:23:45","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T16:23:45","slug":"nurturing-families-of-coshocton","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.coshoctoncounty.net\/family\/home\/nurturing-families-of-coshocton\/","title":{"rendered":"Nurturing Families Of Coshocton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Building a Stronger Community One Family at a Time&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The Nurturing Parenting Programs are a family-centered initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills in the families of our community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The Nurturing Parenting program feature activities to foster positive parenting skills, self-nurturing, home practice exercises, family nurturing time, and activities to promote positive brain development in children.&nbsp; The program is designed to correspond to the developmental age level of children: birth to five years, school-age (5 to12 years), and adolescence (13 to 19 years).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The flexibility within the structure of the program allows facilitators to ensure the specific needs of families are being met.&nbsp;&nbsp; Locations and dates are determined&nbsp;based&nbsp;on current group enrollment.&nbsp;&nbsp; Topics such&nbsp;as building positive concept\/self-esteem; building levels of empathy and awareness of needs; teaching alternatives to hitting and yelling; enhancing family communication; promoting healthy physical and emotional development; and teaching appropriate developmental expectations are reviewed during the workshops.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Our facilitators are experienced parents whose desire is to continue to learn while guiding participants through researched and evidence-based curricula.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Contact <strong>Ali Bates<\/strong> for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Building a Stronger Community One Family at a Time&nbsp; The Nurturing Parenting Programs are a family-centered initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills in the families of our community.
