{"id":53,"date":"2016-06-27T10:13:11","date_gmt":"2016-06-27T14:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/172.16.1.215\/ema\/?page_id=53"},"modified":"2024-08-30T14:47:37","modified_gmt":"2024-08-30T18:47:37","slug":"ema","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.coshoctoncounty.net\/ema\/ema\/","title":{"rendered":"EMA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Emergency Management Agency<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(E.M.A.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Mission Statement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">To provide safety and comfort to Coshocton County residents from natural disasters, hazardous chemicals and acts of terrorism, by developing and exercising plans for Mitigation, Preparation, Response and Recovery phases of a disaster.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>StormReady<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recognized Coshocton County as a StormReady county in January 2008. To receive this recognition, Coshocton County met the following requirements:<\/p>\n<p>1. Establish a 24-hour warning point and emergency operations center (EOC).<\/p>\n<p>2. Establish multiple ways to receive and distribute weather forecasts and<br \/>\nwarnings.<\/p>\n<p>3. Create a system that monitors local weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>4. Promote the importance of public preparedness through community seminars.<\/p>\n<p>5.
