If there are penalties involved, these multi-year tags will only be sold in the Auditor’s Office from December 1 to January 31 each year. These tags are intended for dog owners who plan on staying in the area and who have younger dogs that the owner expects to have for a while. Three-year Tags cost $45 and Permanent Tags are $150. There are no refunds.<\/p>\n Kennel Tags are available for businesses who keep, house, and maintain adult dogs for the purpose of breeding the dogs for a fee or a sale. These can be purchased for $75 at the Auditor\u2019s Office and TMK. After January 31st, you can only purchase kennel tags at the Auditor’s Office.<\/p>\n In addition to these changes, a High-Volume Breeder law (SB 130), also created a new license through the state of Ohio. Those businesses who have more than nine litters of puppies per year AND sell sixty or more dogs or puppies per year must now license through the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
