CCCTA vehicles operate Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm.

Office Hours: 6:30am to 6:00pm

Scheduling a Ride

Ride requests can be made by calling the office at 740.622.7139 (TTY 1.800.750.0750) from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm Monday through Friday. We require at least a 48 business hour notice prior to the scheduled trip. However, we encourage as much notice as possible to help ensure availability. Trips are booked on a first come, first served basis. In order to accommodate as many ride requests as possible, wait time may be required. Requests made less than 48 business hours in advance will be accommodated if availability remains.

If you have never registered with our office we will need some basic information to get you registered into our database, including: Name, Date of Birth, Address, Phone Number, Social Security Number, Mobility (Ambulatory or Wheelchair), and any Special Assistance’s (Walker, Cane, Blind, etc.).

When calling to schedule transportation we will need the following information for your ride request: Date of the Ride, your Drop-off Priority (appointment) Time, as well as your Pick-Up Priority Time (time your appointment will be over/ you will be ready to come home), Physical Address, Name and Phone Number of Destination you will be traveling to. You will need all of this information each time you request a ride, so please have it prior to calling to schedule, otherwise you will be asked to call back.

Pick-Up Window

Passengers should be ready 15 minutes prior to their scheduled pick-up time. CCCTA has a 30-minute pick-up window, meaning the bus can arrive 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time. Drivers will only wait 3 minutes before moving on.

No-Shows and Cancellations

If the bus arrives for a pick-up and the driver cannot locate the client within 3 minutes, the passenger will be marked as a “No Show.”

Cancellations must be made at least two (2) hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Rides cancelled less than 2 hours prior to the clients scheduled pick-up time will be considered a late cancel and the client will be marked as a “No Show.”

Any passenger who is recorded as a No-Show for 20% or more of their scheduled rides within a 60-day period will be suspended for 10 days.

You can appeal your suspension by contacting the Transit Director at  740.622.7139.

Passengers with scheduled ride requests will be notified via an automated telephone call (or text if opted for) the day prior to their scheduled ride between 2:00 pm and 2:15 pm. They will receive the call again 60 minutes prior to their scheduled pick-up time on the day of the scheduled ride.
