The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a flood
warning for the following rivers in Ohio... Muskingum River At Coshocton affecting Coshocton County. Runoff from recent rainfall and reservoir releases are resulting in rises along the Muskingum River.
SAFETY MESSAGE: Do not drive through flooded areas. The water may be deeper than it appears.
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Flood Warning for, the Muskingum River At Coshocton.
* From Tuesday morning until Saturday morning, or until the
warning is cancelled.
* At 7:00 PM Monday the stage was 13.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage by tomorrow
morning and continue to rise to near 15.5 feet by tomorrow
evening. The river will fall below flood stage by early Saturday
* Impact...At 16.0 feet, Flood waters begin to affect the Lake Park area along the Walhonding River and begins backwater flooding along Mill Creek north of Lake Park and along Route 83. Flood waters will begin to enter yards in low-lying areas along County Route 1A. ... See MoreSee Less

Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office
February 19th, 2018
On February 19th, 2018 at approximately 1:23 PM the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a four wheeler accident with injuries close to the waste treatment plant in West Lafayette.
Upon arrival of emergency personnel it was determined that 32 year old Kolt Daugherty of West Lafayette was traveling east in a corn field and lost control of the four wheeler. Mr. Daugherty ramped a ditch and lost control of the Honda Rancher four wheeler and rolled it a couple times. Mr. Daugherty was ejected off the four wheeler and was not wearing a helmet.
Mr. Daugherty was flown from the scene by Med Flight to Grant Hospital in Columbus. His condition is unknown at this time.
Assisting at the scene was West Lafayette Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS and Med Flight.
This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday February 13, at approximately 11:50 a.m., a large amount of tires were discovered at the County line, on Tyson Road, just East of SR 83, within Muskingum County. Roughly 62 tires were on the side of the roadway with several more over the embankment.
