Forestry Field Day & Workshops
Coshocton
SWCD co-sponsors a Forestry Field Day or workshop to provide landowners
with valuable information for timber harvesting, management and tree
planting. If you are interested, please email Coshocton SWCD to be put on our Forestry Workshop list. You may also go to ODNR Division of Forestry and Ohio State University websites for valuable information on forestry.

Livestock Environmental Assurance Program (LEAP)
By participating in the Livestock Environmental Assurance Program,
livestock producers will have an opportunity to take a pro-active
approach in blending sound production and economics with concern about
environmental quality. The LEAP goal is to expand your knowledge of
on-farm environmental technology and enhance the livestock industry's
environmentally responsible image. For more information or to be put on

Pasture Walks / Grazing Field Days
During
the summer months Coshocton SWCD and OSU Extension sponsor a series of
Pasture Walks to educate producers who want to increase profit from
their pastures. The walks are lead by resource personnel from the SWCD
and OSU Extension as well as USDA Natural Resources Conservation
Service, Ohio Agriculture Research and Development Center and USDA
Agriculture Research Service.
Dates, times and location will be listed through office
publications
and via websites. Those interested in rotational grazing, developing
paddocks and/or installing spring developments for watering livestock
should
pla
n to attend. Check back to see when the Pasture Walk
series will kick off.

Pond Clinic
A Pond
Management Clinic is held to provide information to those who currently
own a pond or are planning to construct one. Topics usually cover pond
construction, maintenance of dikes and pipe, stocking and weed control
information. The clinic is co-sponsored with OSU Extension Coshocton County. The Pond Clinic is free of charge but registration is necessary. For
