Developmental Screenings
Young children develop and grow at different rates. A child's development can be followed by how they learn, play, speak, and behave.
Certain milestones during the first three years of life need to be met for optimal growth. Periodic developmental screenings can help make sure a child is "on track." Screenings are offered through home visits, childcare settings, and community organizations. Parents can call Help Me Grow directly if they have a concern about their child's growth.
Developmental Evaluations
Help Me Grow also offers developmental evaluations to determine if a child is eligible for ongoing special services because of a developmental delay. This global evaluation can take place in the family's home. With the parents, a team of professionals will assess all the infant's or toddler's developmental areas (cognitive, physical, communication, social-emotional, and adaptive).
Specialized Services for children with developmental delays or disabilities
Sometimes young children need extra help because of premature birth, health problems, or a concern about their progress in seeing, hearing, talking, thinking, playing, or moving.

Playgroups
Help Me Grow offers an hour-long playgroup for infants, toddlers and their parents. Tot Time is held every Thursday at 9:30 am or 1:30 pm. Families enrolled in Help Me Grow can join us for a fun-filled hour of music, stories, crafts, snacks, and friendship. This is a creative avenue for children under three to socialize with their peers and practice important skills to reach their social/emotional and cognitive milestones.
