The Board of Health is the governing body of the Health District and has authority to adopt rules and regulations and enact policies within the District. The Board of Health is comprised of five members. One of the five members must be a physician and another must represent the Licensing Council. The Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the County Services Building (Room 145), 724 S. Seventh Street, Coshocton, Ohio, 43812. These meetings are open to the public and the Board encourages citizen participation.
The District Advisory Council of the Coshocton County General Health District consists of the chairman of the trustees from each township, the mayor from each village, and a representative of the Board of County Commissioners. This group makes appointments to the Board of Health, reviews the Annual Report of the Health District and advises the Board of Health on matters of public health within the District.
