Coshocton Port Authority
Revolving Loan Fund
The Port Authority's Revolving Loan Fund is proving to be
a valuable tool for local business. The funds primary focus is to help existing
businesses in our community expand and create new jobs. Applicants can request up
to $50,000.00, not to exceed 40% of eligible project costs, payable up to a period of ten years at 2/3 of prime rate at
the time of closing. To date, the Port Authority has loaned $407,000.00 to thirteen businesses, helping to create new jobs and retain existing jobs. For 2008 the businesses have retained 53 jobs and created 17 jobs.
This money has been made available through grants from
the Coshocton Foundation, Coshocton Rotary, Montgomery Foundation, Schooler Family Foundation and a grant
from the USDA.
The RLF committee meets on a regular basis to review all
applications. The committee is a group of local volunteers who make the decisions
based on the applicants experience and potential for job creation.
