Coshocton Port Authority

Revolving Loan Fund

The Port Authority's Revolving Loan Fund is proving to be a valuable tool for local business. The funds primary focus is to help existing businesses in our community expand and grow new jobs. Applicants can request up to $50,000.00 payable up to a period of ten years at 2/3 below prime rate at the time of closing. To date, the Port Authority has loaned $334,000.00 to nine businesses, helping to create new jobs and retain existing jobs. For 2007 the nine businesses have retained 40 jobs, added 4 jobs with 0 jobs lost.

This money has been made available through grants from the Coshocton Foundation, Coshocton Rotary, Montgomery Foundation and a grant from the USDA.

The RLF committee meets on a regular basis to review all applications. The committee consists of Dick Baker, President of Ohio Heritage Bank, Todd Mizer of REA & Associates and Port Authority Treasurer, Rhoda Crown, CEO of Coshocton Grain, Bruce Wallace, owner of WTNS Radio and Bob Simpson, President of MFM Building Products. This group of local volunteers makes the decisions based on the applicants experience and potential for job creation.
