SUPPORTERS

The Coshocton Port Authority is an extension of state government. Personal or corporate contributions may be tax deductible. Financial support may be used to assist with operating costs, marketing efforts, or implementation of specific economic development efforts including, but not limited to, land acquisition, infrastructure development, and others. Our financial partners in 2007 and 2008 include the following:

  • The City of Coshocton

  • Coshocton County Commissioners

  • American Electric Power

  • The Montgomery Foundation

  • Century National Bank

  • Home Loan Savings Bank

  • Coshocton County Department of Job and Family Services

  • Chase Bank

The Coshocton Port Authority relies on third parties to assist with ongoing marketing efforts and tangible, specific efforts to facilitate economic development projects that may require public infrastructure improvements. In March of 2008, the port authority is launching a three-tier direct mail marketing campaign to more than 300 food processing and beverage companies in the country with Hasseman Marketing of Coshocton thanks to the financial support of American Electric Power and the Montgomery Foundation of Coshocton. This is being implemented jointly with the Area Development Foundation of Knox County to promote both Coshocton and Knox Counties.

Additionally, the Coshocton Port Authority is joining forces with the Zanesville - Muskingum County Port Authority, Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority, and the Area Development Foundation of Knox County to promote Coshocton, Knox, Licking, and Muskingum Counties for growth. This new partnership hopes to launch a three year, regional marketing effort costing $50,000 the first year with $38,000 having been raised as of February, 2008.

The Coshocton Port Authority also hopes to raise local matching funds to acquire more industrial property, extend sewer service to its 23-acre site in Coshocton, improve a road in Tuscarawas Township supporting a new business along U.S. 36, and build an access road into the West Lafayette industrial park.

For more information on how to financially support the Coshocton Port Authority, please contact executive director T.J. Justice at tjjustice@coshoctoncounty.net or (740)-622-7005.
