Lake Park Recreational Complex

Located one-half mile from Historic Roscoe Village, this venue offers visitors a wide array of recreational opportunities. The Aquatic Center provides summertime fun with its 2-story water slides, Water Play gym and tunnels. The Camping area includes 69 elecrtric sites, 30 primitive sites, and modern bathhouse, and a calm setting along the Walhonding River. The Playvilion is an extensive playground structure that all children are sure to enjoy- including swings, bridges, a sand canal, and slides. The Lake Park Pavilion is a restored 1920's big dance hall that hosts a variety of activities from weddings, dances, company picnics, and banquets. Pearl Valley Cheese
2008 World Championship Smoked Swiss Cheese Silver Medal was given to Pearl Valley Cheese located in Coshocton County Ohio. Pearl Valley Cheese was awarded the Silver Medal for their Smoked Swiss Cheese at the World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison Wisconsin.The contest had 1,941 entries from 19 countries that were entered into 77 cheese classifications. Woodbury Wildlife Area

Just seven minutes outside Coshocton on SR 541, this area has over 19,000 acres, the largest public hunting and fishing area in Ohio! Managed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, their main objective is to maintain the area for wildlife-related recreations. Other features include a Class A shooting range with 48 shooting benches and a walk through archery trail with 20 targets set at various yardages. Coshocton County Fair

The Coshocton County Fair has been in existence since 1851, bringing competition and enjoyment to the residents of this central Ohio community. Since the Coshocton County Fair is one of the last in the state, the agricultural products on display are among the best in Ohio. Elaborate displays of pumpkins, corn, potatoes and apples fill the agricultural hall, while the livestock barns are filled with the pride of the county's 4-H and FFA members. Open class exhibitors and the traditional racing program round out the 6-day agricultural fair. History and Heritage
Coshocton County traces its roots back to its earliest days as the capital of the Delaware Indians and the early establishment of a Moravian mission. The varied history is celebrated today through a wealth of historical sites: Towne Centre with it's stately 19th Century Courthouse, Historic Roscoe Village and the remnants of the Ohio & Erie Canal system, the restored Helmick Covered Bridge, the Old Stone Fort, believed to be the oldest building in the state of Ohio and presumed to be built by a scout serving under the French explorer LaSalle around 1679, and the fascinating Ohio historic relics housed in the nationally accredited Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum.
Monticello III Canal Boat
Located just east of historic Roscoe Village on Ohio 83 North, this forty-five minute horse-drawn ride in a preserved canal boat on a restored section of the Ohio and Erie Canal is an experience not to be missed! The Monticello III leaves port Tuesday through Thursday on the hour from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and Friday through Sunday on the hour from 1:00pm to 5:00pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Following Labor Day the boat runs on Saturdays and Sundays until mid-October from 1pm to 5pm. It is important to note that the Monticello III does not make regular runs on Mondays (with the exception of Memorial Day and Labor Day. Tickets for the Monticello III are separate from Living History Tour tickets or admission to the Johnson Humrickhouse Museum and can be purchased at the Canal Boat Landing or at the Visitor Center in combination with your Living History Tour ticket. Johnson-Humrick House Museum

The Museum has five galleries. Four hold permanent exhibits: American Indian, Historic Ohio, Euro-American decorative arts, and Asian. The fifth gallery displays temporary exhibits of varied content, from fine art and craft to local history and world cultures. A number of the Museum's collections are of national significance, including its American Indian basketry and beadwork and Chinese lacquer ware, carvings and ceramics. Downing presently has a 4,113 foot lighted runway with runway end identifier lights. Instrument approach is available through a VOR/DME RNAV and a VOR or GPS-A approach off the Zanesville VOR and a GPS approach to runway 22.
Landing assistance is provided by PAPIs on both runway approaches.
Richard Downing Airport has hangars to accommodate 30 aircraft and tie down spaces for over 50 aircraft. Mechanics can provide emergency repairs at the airport weekdays between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Coshocton Ethanol, LLC

A wholly owned subsidiary of Altra, Inc. which is a California based developer of renewable energies, Coshocton Ethanol, LLC is on target to open its $105 million production facility in the fall of 2007. The plant is projected to produce 55 - 60 million gallons of ethanol a year and will employ 41 permanent, full-time workers. The facility is located south of Ohio 16 on County Road 271 west of the city of Coshocton.
Kraft Foods

Kraft Foods, located in Coshocton, was originally built in 1967 as a subsidiary of Fairmont Foods, a dairy producer. Now owned by Oscar Meyer, which acquired the building in 1983, the business puts out 100 million pounds of cured meat each year.
With the recently completed addition of an 84,000 square-foot warehouse, the business is expanding its production into different foods and varieties of bacon such as maple flavored and low sodium. New expansion in the area supports nearly all of the company’s bacon production.
Coshocton Industrial Park

This site is 20 acres plus with access to road and rail. It is located less than one mile of SR 16 with infrastructure and road improvements scheduled for 2005. The property is owned by Coshocton Port Authority and is 2 miles from the proposed Agricultural Industrial Park in Western Coshocton County. Coshocton Campus, An innovative approach to higher education is impacting lives in Coshocton! This unique collaborative effort brings higher education into the Coshocton community and allows residents to LEARN MORE and EARN MORE. Located at Kenwood and South Second Street, the Coshocton Campus offers associates, bachelors, and masters degree programs from institutions including Central Ohio Technical College, The Ohio State University Newark and Muskingum College.
The Coshocton Campus is also home to the Business and Industry Institute, offering non-credit customized training to Coshocton area businesses.

Medical Services

Coshocton County Memorial Hospital is a 90 bed acute-care hospital with a 61 bed extended care facility attached. CCMH is always expanding to include more areas of interest. Currently they offer specialists in sleep disorders, occupational and physical therapy, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, speech and respiratory care. There is at least one physician on call at all times.
